| Description | hi kerwin regarding to audio issue from VOC.( our issue list #100) Since we don't have a sound bar, instead of it , we tried to do with connecting TV as changing channel per 3 second. During the test, the network line was missing and there was no sound when reconnected please see a log. time is 5:45 after.. | ||||

Hi Jason, Thanks to share the log. We are checking if this issue is the same as VOC since AML also have reproduced no sound issue at Shanghai site. But the root cause is quite different. What AML saw is a exception in audio HAL driver. Could you give more information about test environment ? SW version? Audio is set to "BTV" or "passthrough" mode ? No sound issue happen only when network is re-connected or not ? Does TV support AC3 decoding ? ( or give us TV model, we can check Spec. by Google ) Thanks ! Kerwin |

Hi, Kerwin. Please refer to the below. 1. SW Version : 15.502.57 (Field Issue Version) 2. Audio Setting : Passthrough mode 3. Issue happen after reconnecting network. 4. TV support AC3 decoding. (LG OLED55B8FNA) Thank you. |

Hi Jason, It looks we use almost the same environment to do the test. Actually, we have reproduced this issue in Taipei office and reported to AML. AML gave us a quick fix to solve this problem and we did a overnight test. Right now, it still works well. However, we are checking if there is any side effect to apply this patch. If there is nothing wrong, we can release a test SW to you. From the log, it seems root cause is pass-through mode is not applied well. Since we don't have LG soundbar, we can't make sure it is exactly the same issue as VOC. |

HI Kerwin I share a feedback from SKB end user with using test fw 60. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- during 3 days, it works well. but when it boot up first time, it take 7second for heard sound. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- we need to check it more about taking 7 second for heard sound when it boot up first time. I heard from you it is updated for OMX library. please give a technical note about this modification. Thanks. |

Hi Jason, Amlogic don't change OMX libraries in this test FW. What Amlogic changed is to add audio passthrough checking in frameworks. Without this modification, audio HAL can't do audio passthrough correctly. Thanks ! |

Hi Jason, Android Framework add/remove PCM or compressed audio track while user change channels. If user change channels repeatedly, sometimes there will be more than 1 compressed audio track adding to audio HAL. Then no sound issue will happen because audio HAL can't handle more than 1 compressed audio track. Amlogic add a checking in Framework to remove additional compressed audio track. Thanks ! |

hi kerwin Thanks for your explanation. as like I talked to you in webcat, we need to check about audio issue. 1. In Test FW 60, it happen no sound issue when it boot up first time. This is what is reportd in Jeju island before. 2. In v57 or v43 , mute 1~2 times during 1 hours on one channel. this was reported at other area in SKB VOC same number. for checking it, Jingyu will investigate which part is enable for debugging of audio issue. after you receive it from Jingyu, please let me know when you can make new FW. We will inform FW schedule to SKB manager today and we will visit to SKB end user's house with this FW. Thanks |

Hi Kerwin Although we gave v60c to SKB guy for checking below issue, skb user don't want to check it more. so SKB guy didn't get a log from v60c. 1. In Test FW 60, it happen no sound issue when it boot up first time. so it close first item. we will update a result of 60c later when we visit to skb user house. Thanks |
